1.  PURPOSE OF TRAINING :-
     To Prepare Nurses To Practice Comprehensive Nursing Care In Hospital   As Well As In The Community By Means Of A Planned Education Programme.

     To Provide A Base For Advanced Study And Specialization In Nursing Which Will Assist Nurses In Their Personal And Professional Development So That They  Make

      Their  Maximum Contribution To Society As Individuals, Citizens And Nurses.

2.  GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE :-

1.  To Acquire Knowledge And Understanding Of The Basic Principles Of Nursing.
2. To Develop Skills In Nursing Techniques In Order To Practice Comprehensive Nursing Care.
3.  To Understand Current Health Problems Of Our Country And Practice Nursing At Highest Possible' Level Accordingly Within The Resources Available Keeping In The Priorities.
4. To Develop Professionally Through Motivation For Continuing Education,
5. To Develop Ability To Take Up Responsibility In Every Field Of Life.
6.  To Learn To Co-Operate With The Fellow Students And Others, Thereby Developing A Good Interpersonal Relationship.
7. To Acquire Knowledge And Understanding Of Work In The Hospital And In The Community.
8. To Develop Ability To Give Health Education In The Hospitals As In The Community.

3.  THE COURSE OF TRAINING :-
     The General Nursing Course Covers A Complete Period Of Three Years With Internship

       English As A Medium Of Instruction. Students Are Given Practical Training In The

4.  ADMISSION REQUISITES :-

1.  The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year of admission.
2.  The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of – Higher Secondary school certificate Examination (12 years course), OR Senior School certificate Examination (10+2), OR pre-degree Examination (10+2), OR An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
3. Candidates shall be medically fit.

2. 12th Mark Sheet
3. Migration Certificate in original.
4. Character Certificate.
5. Transfer Certificate or School Leaving Certificate.
6. Certificate of change of name, if applicable supported by documentary evidence like Government Gazette Notification.
7. Requisite caste certificate issued by the competent authority, if admission is against reserved category.
8. Gap Certificate, if applicable.
9.  Residence Proof Certificate
10.  Photo ID Proof
11. Latest Passport Size PhotoGraphs(5 in quantity)

5. PRELIMINARY TRAINING :-
      Initially Students Are Admitted To The Preliminary Training Course, Duration Of Which Is Three Months. At The End Of This Period Examination Is Held. Students Getting             Less Than 50% Marks In Aggregate Will Not Be Admitted To The Regular Course.

6. INTERNAL EXAMINATION :-
      Internal Examination Both In Theory And Practical Will Be Held Every Month To Assess The Progress Of Students To Appear In All These Examination. The Internal                     Assessment Of Students Which Is Required For Final Examination Is Based      On These Examinations. It Is Compulsory For The Students To Pass In The Internal                         Examination.
